Travel Outfit Picks | Sundance Catalog Spring 2017
The Styled Side's Travel Outfit Picks From The Sundance Catalog Spring 2017
I think about travel a LOT. Maybe an unhealthy amount. ? But it’s part of my job, so I justify it that way! And one thing I spend a ton of time considering is what my travel outfit is going to be in any situation. It may be because styling is my background and I can’t for the life of me picture ANY person in ANY place without visualizing their outfit…but whatever the case, I’m totally obsessed.
I’m also a bit obsessed with catalogs. Not online catalogs or look books. Old school, come in the mailbox catalogs. It almost doesn’t even matter the content! I’ll browse them regardless! Remember when the Sears and JCPenny catalogs would come? They were HUGE! I would sit for hours looking through the entire thing! Even the lawnmowers - something I’ve never laid a hand on! (Bc of my allergies, I SWEAR !) I find myself seeing a favorite catalog in the mailbox, immediately grabbing my sharpie and going through and starring my favorites - as if someone is going to miraculously pick one up and buy everything for me! Lol!
Although I like them all, I do have my favorites, and along with many people out there, Sundance is near the top of my list. So I thought I’d help all of you out there who DON’T like perusing tons of sites or catalogs, and pick my favorite travel outfits and items from some of the best!
What makes a good travel outfit?
For me, what constitutes a good travel outfit is:
Style
Comfort (no stilettos!)
Versatility
Fairly easy care
They have to pack well, each item needs to go with other items I bring (see my capsule packing inspiration here), and of course, they have to be super cute. ;)
Enjoy my travel outfit picks from Sundance!
I love the casual vibe of this outfit, while still looking trendy and out together. The scarf adds that needed pop of color and will look great in your pics! Perfect for a cool day sightseeing or if you want to look cute for your actual travel day!Click the pics below to get the products!
I've said it before, and it still holds true - a scarf is your BEST travel accessory! Functional and fashionable, they can act as a blanket, hair accessory, belt, and so much more! The lace on this shirt keeps this look feminine and breaks up the denim/chambray combo. Yes, these sandals are tall - but they are so comfy since they're platforms! I mean, I personally couldn't go sightseeing all day in them, but walking to and from lunch or dinner would be a breeze!Click the pics below to get the products!
Every trip needs that outfit that can go from café to beach to dinner to sightseeing. This is it! Gorgeous flowy dress, comfy cute sandals with just the right amount of shimmer and heel, and the hat that will save you from bad beach hair and keep you trendy! The perfect beach outfit that can easily transition for sightseeing, boating, even a casual dinner. The top can double as a swim cover-up! And these slides are the sandals you will reach for again and again! Click the pics below to get the products!
A bright, fun caftan that doubles as a dress? Yes please!! As you can probably tell, I LOVE versatile pieces! This cover-up/dress/tunic is a no-brainer for any warm weather destination! Click the pics below to get the products!
Here's another great way to wear the Colette Cropped Jeans! For those days you need an extra layer, grab an easy, colorful wrap! Here's another pair of stacked wedge sandals - but you could easily pair any of the other flats for a day of walking. Click the pics below to get the products!
I'm always on the lookout for an outfit that you can just throw on and look effortlessly stylish, while still being comfortable, and this one is just perfect! I love the boots with a dress look to give a bit of an edge, but this dress looks just as great with a pair of flat sandals for those hotter days! Click the pics below to get the products!
One more fabulous cover-up turns dress! I just can't get enough, clearly! And this maillot is SO flattering! Pair this cover-up with some bright jewelry to dress it up for a tropical evening! And check out the floral top outfit below! Click the pics below to get the products!
There's no way you don't think of vacation when you see this top! I've paired it with some throwback Levi's denim shorts, long enough to walk around in without the dreaded 'chub-rub', broken-in huarache sandals, and a blush fedora. Click the pics below to get the products!
